Healy Eames to run half-marathon for Cystic Fibrosis Galway

Next Sunday Fine Gael Senator Fidelma Healy Eames will run the half marathon at Galway’s first running festival in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Galway’s hospital project.

“I am delighted to be able to participate in Galway’s first running festival. I have been training for a number of months but this will be my first time to run in an official half-marathon. It is fairly daunting but whenever I feel the going getting tough, I think it is nothing compared with the long and difficult haul endured by Cystic Fibrosis patients.

“Given all the life-threatening Government health cutbacks affecting our health care system at the moment, I am delighted to contribute in a small way to the Cystic Fibrosis Galway Hospital project and to name Cystic Fibrosis as my charity of the year.”
