400k for Leisureland – Healy Eames
Welcome news for Swimming Clubs

I want to welcome the approval of 400k euro funding by Minister Sport Michael Ring TD.

He contacted me last evening to say that he had approved Galway City Co’s application following our representations.

The money has been approved for energy efficiency measures to help Leisureland w/ it’s running costs and for important disability access.

I know local swimming clubs will be delighted with this news on the basis that they were finding annual costs hard to afford. Let’s hope this transfers to the users, said Senator Fidelma Healy Eames.
